Why Your Front Squat is Weaker

Your front squat is probably weaker than your back squat because on average that is the case.

When we put your front squats through our analysis, we noticed that beginner standards for heavy lifters can be a lower weight than beginner standards for lighter lifters. My simple idea to explain this is that the front squat is a movement made mechanically more difficult by additional bulk, and tougher by additional weight.
